New speed restrictions announced for Swan and Canning Rivers

by Royal Perth Yacht Club on 27 Sep 2013
New Speed Restriction Royal Perth Yacht Club .
As of the first of October 2013 new speed restrictions and other changes will be introduced at increasingly busy parts of the Swan and Canning Rivers in order to improve safety for all water users.

The eight knot speed limit will be extended from Fremantle Port to Mosman Bay, reducing speed in one of the busiest parts of the Swan River.

Changes will also be implemented regarding navigational aids, ski areas, boating areas and crabbing restrictions.

The Department of Transport has released an updated version of the free Swan Canning Riverpark Boating Guide, which will bring you up to speed with all of the new changes. You can download a copy of this guide from Department of Transport website.
