Key West 2013 delivered spectacular sailing conditions throughout the week, allowing the crew of the Melges 32 fleet to showcase their true racing skills. After ten races, Andrea Pozzi’s Bombarda captured the crown after winning the tiebreaker over Alex Jackson’s Leenabarca, which also collected 37 points.

The final day of racing at Premiere Racing's Quantum Key West 2013 presented spectators and sailing enthusiasts alike with quite a showcase of speed and performance yacht racing. Under gorgeous conditions, Andrea Pozzi's Bombarda held steadfast and true to win, and now proudly wears the title of Melges 32 Key West Champion. Pozzi, alongside of the phenomenal Lorenzo Bressani and crew members Andrea Felci, Federico Michetti, Michele Giovannini, Carlo Zermini, Davide Loleo and his brother Francesco Pozzi, came out ahead by two points to win.

It has been a fantastic week in Key West for long-time Melges 32 owner Alex Jackson on Leenabarca. Jackson stunned the competition by winning the last three races of the overall eleven-part series. Jackson was nowhere to be found in the top five on day one, but as the week progressed and with the aide of 2012 Melges 32 World Champion tactician Paul Goodison, he rocketed forward to finish a very satisfying second overall, ten points ahead of third place finisher Keisuke Suzuki on Swing.

Rounding out the top five after an awesome two races on Friday, is the incredible Deneen Demourkas on Groovederci in fourth and Lanfranco Cirillo on Fantastica in fifth.
