J24 Canadian Championships

winning crew off of Clear Air/Orange Blossom Clarity Nicoll
The J24 Canadian Championships wrapped up today at the Port Credit Yacht Club. The three days of racing were plagued with light winds. Day 1 had light winds in which the race committee was able to get 1 race in before sending the boats in for an onshore wind delay and then resuming racing at 5pm for 1 more race. The crews then headed to the Brogue Irish Bar. The evening was sponsored by the Brogue and Captain Morgan, the Captain Morganettes were there handing out some refreshing samples after a hot day out on the water.

Day 2 was also a light wind day but came with large waves. After 3 races in light winds and choppy seas, racing was over and everyone was glad to be off the water.

No surprise, Day 3 also had light winds. The winds finally gave out during the third race which was abandoned.
