Images of St Thomas - VXOnes light up in US Virgin Islands

by Sail-World.com NZL on 30 Mar 2016 Top international photographer, Ingrid Abery was on the water for the Final Day of the St Thomas International Regatta, in US Virgin Islands. The VXOne class were racing in their own division.

'The St. Thomas International Regatta is etched into every racer’s mind as the “Crown Jewel” of Caribbean racing–where sailors can experience our reliable breezes, warm azure waters and world-renowned Island hospitality, ' says the brochure and from the images that would seem to be an understatement.

Eleven boats from four countries - Australia, USA, Canada, and US Virgin Islands contested the regatta, which was won by local crew Cruzan Rhode skippered by Timothy Pitts, with US boats in second and third and then two Australian entries.
