Ian Williams and GAC Pindar Charles Anderson
2014 Argo Group Gold Cup - Ian Williams and his GAC Pindar crew finished fourth in the Argo Group Gold Cup in Bermuda, despite going 12 flights unbeaten in the penultimate Alpari World Match Racing Tour event.

Williams lost his semi-final encounter with Eric Monnin three - one (Swiss Match Race Team), and then lost narrowly to rival Taylor Canfield (US One) two - one in the Petit Final.

Despite this, Williams remains at the top of the overall leader board, ahead of the Monsoon Cup (25-29 November) and the final event will decide the winner of the Alpari World Match Racing Tour. If Williams finishes ahead of Canfield in the Monsoon Cup, he will claim a record breaking fifth World Match Racing Tour title.

Williams commented: 'We’ve had a great week of sailing, but things didn’t quite fall our way today. Credit must go to Johnie and Eric, who were fantastic this week, it shows the real depth of talent we face on the World Match Racing Tour.'

'Overall with regards to the Tour, it has been a good outcome, with us maintaining our six point lead. We’re looking forward to a tough battle with US One in Malaysia for the World Championship next month.'
