Clipper Round the World Yacht Race - Garmin to sponsor team

In the Clipper 13-14 Round the World Yacht Race, Garmin, the global GPS technology company, will be a first time Team Sponsor. Team Garmin will represent the world’s leading manufacturers of marine electronics and satellite navigation equipment.

Congratulations to Australian skipper, Damian Parnham, who will lead Team Garmin.

The company is also the Official Marine Electronics Partner of the world’s longest ocean race which starts on Sunday 1 September from London.

Chairman and Founder of the Clipper Race Sir Robin Knox-Johnston said: 'Modern oceanic racing depends on accurate position fixing, and Garmin’s reputation in the field means the Clipper Race crews will benefit from their presence amongst the fleet. We particularly welcome the Garmin yacht into the race.'
