Perfect vista - Tahiti Pearl Regatta 10th Edition Morgan Rogers
Forget July's Audi Sydney Gold Coast Race and freezing yachting conditions as the temperature plummets in Australia to our wintery norms, in French Polynesia each May a regatta is held in balmy tropical conditions that can only be described as the worlds playground for yachties. Consisting of 98% water - What else would you do in Tahiti!

The Tahiti Pearl Regatta, now in its 10th year, is well organised and unique in many respects notwithstanding the geographical location. I have watched this regatta since 2009 and she remains at the top of the list to eventually add to the sailing CV.

Over the next three days your senses will be ignited as the story unfolds of how the multi national contingent of competitors line up to challenge this regatta.

A record fleet of 54 yachts,in four divisions highlighted by several magnificent Oyster Yachts en route around the world face a mixture of winds and seas to complete the 10th Edition of the Tahiti Pearl Regatta - including two Australian yachts on delivery from opposite sides of the globe bound for Sydney, Nick Blacks Charm Offensive, a Hanse 445 out Germany and Perry Johnson's Beneteau 50, Lippy.

Crew and Yacht demographics: French, Tahitian, Australian, New Zealand, US, and UK.
Crews and organizers reported that the Regatta was their best yet.

Stay tuned - Will the Oysters take the Pearl?
