Video from Emirates Team New Zealand as they take us behind the scenes and show how one of the AC45 One Designs is put together ahead of the America's Cup World Series events.
The idea with the AC45 is that it can be broken down and fitted into a 40ft container.
For a 45ft long boat that means the sterns have to be detached along with the after section of the hull, then the crossbeams come on and the reassembly task begins.
After each event the #AC45 boats and wing are broken down, put in a container and transported from America's Cup event to event, when the process of putting the 45 foot jigsaw together again begins - a process quite unlike putting a regular monohull in the water...
Although this is a speed-enhanced video, it is also in HD and hit the pause button to see a freeze frame of any part you don't quite understand.
