2015 Sail Canada Senior National Championships – Final day

The final day of racing at Senior Nationals at CORK OCR saw slightly more wind than the previous four days of racing. All fleet began racing at the scheduled time of 11:00 am in 12- 14 knots of wind from the South.

The single handed fleets completed three races today, while the skiffs completed four races.


Cy Thompson (ISV) finished first in the Laser Fleet with CST(Canadian Sailing Team) members Evert McLaughlin (RCYC) and Robert Davis (KYC) finishing in second and third respectively.

CST member Brenda Bowskill (RCYC) dominated the Radial fleet all week finishing in first place, 10 points ahead of second place. CST sailor Claire Merry (RCYC/OYS) finished in second followed by Corrine Peters (RNSYS) in third. Alexander Brown (CBSC) finished first in the male radial division.

In the skiff 49er fleet Dave Mori and Justin Barnes (RCYC) held onto their lead with two bullets in today’s races, finishing the event in the first place overall. Trevor Parekh and Gord Cook (RSTLYC) finished in second and Ryan Judge and Hans Henken (SDYC) in third.

In the 49erFX fleet, CST members Erin Rafuse and Danielle Boyd (RNSYS/KYC) moved back into first place to finish the event. Emily Dellenbaugh and Elizabeth Barry (USA) finished in second and CST identified athletes Arielle Morgan and Heather Myatt (RSTLYC) finished third.
