2015 Laser Masters' World Championships – Day 2 SailingShot
The day began sunny with light winds from the South West. The wind was too light for world championship racing, and as a result races were cancelled. Three races are scheduled for tomorrow, with the first warning signal at 1100.
Tomorrow night all Competitors, Coaches and Volunteers will go to Fort Henry at 1900 for dinner and a sunset ceremony. Fort Henry offers beautiful views of Kingston, and displays its amazing history. The original Fort Henry was built during the War of 1812 and restoration began between 1832 and 1837, when a second fort was built on the site of the first. Sailors, Coaches and Volunteers will enjoy the World Famous, award-winning Sunset Ceremonies, which feature the Fort Henry Guard Drums, Drill Squad, and Artillery Detachment presentation, precision drill and big-bang artillery manoeuvres which bring the ceremony to life!
All are hoping for more wind tomorrow, with three races scheduled. The volunteer meeting will begin at 0900, and the first warning signal will be at 1100.
