2015 Kingston Laser Masters' World Championships – Day 3

2015 Laser Masters' World Championships – Day 3 SailingShot
Day three of the Kingston Laser Masters’ World Championships, two races were completed in 10-14 knots of wind from the South. Forecast is promising for tomorrow, and two races are scheduled.

Adonis Bougiouris representing Greece is dominating the Laser Standard Apprentice flight, having won every race of the regatta. He is followed by Matt Blakey, New Zealand, who has placed second in every race, and Great Britain’s Denzil May in third. The Standard Masters flight is led by Brett Beyers, Australia, who won all the races today. Ari Barshi, Dominican, began the day in first, but finishing seven, six, two in today’s races moved him down to second. USA’s Peter Hurley sits third. Laser Grand Master flight is dominated by the United States in first, second and third. Peter Shope, remains in first, with Peter Vessella in second and Mark bear in third. In the Standard Great Grand Master flight, Australia’s Mark Bethwaite placed three, one, one, today to move into first. Alan Keen, South Africa, finished the day in second, with New Zealand’s Robert Blakey in third.



The Radial Apprentice flight continues to be led by Scott Leith, New Zealand. Australia’s Zac Skulander and Great Britain’s Steven Smith are tied in points for second, with Skulander winning the tie breaker. Keith Davids, United States, placed first in all races today, to move into first overall in the Radial Masters flight. Great Britain’s Ian Jones moved down to second, and Joao Ramos is third. Canada’s Robert Britten and Australia’s Jeff Loosemore are tied for first in the Radial Grand Master’s flight. Britten wins the tie breaker to sit in first, with Loosemore in second. Rob Koci, Canada, moves into third placing six, six, one today. In the Radial Great Grand Master flight, Australian Robert Lowndes sits in first, with Great Britain’s Michael Kinnear in second and Bill Symes, United Stated in third after dropping his black flag disqualification from day one. In the 75 and over flight, American Peter Seidenberg remain in first finishing with all bullets today. Canadian Johan Van Rossem placed two, two, four today to move into second and Michael Shield, New Zealand sits in third.

Racing continues tomorrow, with the first signal at 1200, and two races scheduled. Come down to Portsmouth Olympic Harbour to see all the on water action!
