In the Chicago Yacht Club's Race to Mackinac, despite the historically-light wind conditions that left half of the fleet still on the lake early Tuesday morning, the afternoon awards program will go on.
Race organizers said as of 9:00 a.m. CDT there were only awards to be given in approximately six sections and the two first to finish, therefore a second awards ceremony will take place at 10 p.m. EDT. The first awards celebration is at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
The 105th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Macinac is a 333-mile invitation-only race from Chicago Yacht Club to Mackinac Island. There are 301 boats and 2,472 crew in this year’s
