Busfield Marine appoints new sales manager, launches new website

by Mike Rose on 29 Aug 2012
The Bavaria Vision 46 is now available through Busfield Marine SW

Busfield Marine Brokers, one of Auckland’s leading brokerages, specialising in new and used yachts and launches and the New Zealand agents for the popular Bavaria range of cruising yachts, has appointed experienced yacht broker and marine industry identity, Christine Bird to be their new sales manager.

Busfield Marine managing director Bill Rutherford says that, with some 20 years’ experience in the marine industry, Christine Bird is the ideal person to take the well known brokerage to the next level.

'Christine is not only an internationally experienced and respected yacht broker, she has also sold a large number of both new and used Bavaria yachts around the world.

'She has an enormous wealth of experience with a huge variety of yachts and launches and will be able to use that experience to advise prospective owners on the best vessel for them.'

Since becoming sales manager of the popular brokerage earlier this year, Christine Bird has been working on the relaunch of the Busfield Marine’s website.

'As we move into a new period of growth, we need an internet presence that reflects Busfield Marine Brokers’ market-leading position and provides all the relevant information our clients need to make an informed decision.

'Our new website contains valuable advice on buying and selling boats in the current market, has comprehensive details on all our listings and, of course, showcases all that’s new in the renowned Bavaria range.'

The new site, www.busfieldmarine.co.nz, has been built by the award winning website developers Zeald with an emphasis on ease of use and fast downloading.

'The new site will also allow us to quickly and easily present our client’s boats to buyers all over New Zealand and around the world,' says Christine Bird.

'An effective marketing campaign is absolutely vital when selling boats and we know that this involves both traditional print media and a strong on-line presence. Our new approach is already paying dividends with an increase in both enquiries and, most importantly for our customers, sales.

'Boat owners considering selling should contact us for a no obligation appraisal while those looking to buy a good quality new or second hand yacht or launch should check out our new website (www.busfieldmarine.co.nz) or call us on (09) 302-1990.
