Thousands of people have attended the first day of the 2013 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle and National 4x4 and Outdoors Show at Brisbane's RNA Showgrounds.

In what organisers have labelled one of the busiest opening days, crowds lined Gregory Terrace prior to the 9am start, eager to snap up a Show Special and see the latest and greatest in all things fishing, boating, camping and outdoors.

'We are absolutely thrilled with today's showing, the weather has been kind and it' great to see so many people out and about and enjoying the sunshine,' said Jason Plant, Event Manager, Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show.

'There are so many things to see and do across both Shows with hundreds-of-thousands of products on display, 230 exhibitors, celebrity guests, informative talks plus as well the ever popular Yamaha Supertank, Kids Marine Zone and the 4x4 Show's Action Arena.'

Paul Morgan, Event Manager of the National 4x4 & Outdoors Show is also pleased with today's attendance and is encouraging people planning their next outdoors adventure to head to the Showgrounds this weekend.

'Every year, the Tinnie and Tackle Show and the National 4x4 & Outdoors Show combine to create what is the ultimate destination for any outdoor enthusiast or those planning their next adventure,' he said.

'So if you're planning a trip, maybe over Easter, or want to get inspiration for one, make sure to head to the Showgrounds this weekend.'

The Show, which is Australia's Biggest Outdoor Expo will run until 5pm this Sunday and will showcase the latest in fishing, boating, camping, outdoors and adventure, including a number of products making their Australian and World debut.

With limited parking at the Showgrounds, organisers have arranged a free train loop for ticketholders, with a service running via Central, Roma Street, Fortitude Valley and the Exhibition Grounds Stations across all three days of the show.
