Book now for CYCA SOLAS Trusts dinner

Time is running out to book tickets for ‘An evening with Liesl Tesch’ dinner, in support of the CYCA Safety of Life at Seas Trusts, on Friday October 23, 2015 from 7pm. Commodore John Cameron, together with CYCA SOLAS Trusts Chairman, Matt Allen and the CYCA Associates Committee extends an invitation to all to attend.

Liesl Tesch AM is an international wheelchair basketball and sailing Paralympian capturing two silver and a bronze medal from five Paralympic Games in wheelchair basketball, captaining the Gliders team at the Athens and Beijing Paralympics to silver and bronze medals.

Switching codes and with just 18 months training, she and skipper Dan Fitzgibbon won the SKUD 18 sailing gold medal at the 2012 Paralympics. The gregarious school teacher has completed one Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and has a lot of stories to tell.

During the course of the evening a silent auction will be held with a range of quality items available to bid on.

Over the years, the CYCA SOLAS Trusts have granted over $900,000 to search and rescue organisations across Australia.

The SOLAS Trusts Dinner will be held in the Freya and Morna Rooms at the CYCA, 1 New Beach Road, Darling Point. Dress Code is Lounge Suit and cost is $125.00 per person, including pre-dinner drinks, three course meal and wine.

America's Cup Defender christened "Taihoro"
