Belcher and Page are headed for Miami

Aussie sailors Malcolm Page and Mathew Belcher had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year and are now back in full swing. Following a short training camp in Sydney, the duo are preparing to head for Miami, Florida in order to compete in the second World Cup for 2012.

Mathew Belcher:

The past weeks have been quite busy. As you would have heard Malcolm and I have been officially selected to compete in London. Although expected it has been an eleven year dream for me, being my first and will bring up Malcolm's third Olympics. With only 190 days to go until the start there are many things we are working on to give ourselves the best possibility of success.

We will return to Sydney after this event and resume our training before heading over to Europe in mid-March.

Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron will be hosting a farewell dinner for us on the 17th Feb with tickets still available and we hope to announce a Sydney venue shortly.

We look forward to keeping you in touch as we build up towards London.
