More Olympic licensed products will be unveiled on March 27 to mark the 500-day countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) announced Thursday.

They include eleven categories of badges, pins and precious metal products, each of them produced in less than 10,000 pieces.

A commemorative gold piece priced at 8,800 yuan (£579) is the most precious product in the new series. With 99.99 percent of gold as its material, the one-ounce product will be issued in 10,000 pieces.

A BOCOG official said that more licensed products will be issued on the occasion of 400-day, one year, 300-day, 200-day and 100-day countdown.
