Karl Kwok's new 80ft Botin design was splashed in Auckland's Westhaven marina this afternoon from the Southern Spars yard.
She was constructed by Auckland's Cookson Boats and will be fitted with a Southern Spars rig. Beau Geste will be sea-trialled on the Waitemata Harbour before leaving for Sydney in a couple of weeks.
Sail-World was on hand to capture the moment and provide the first images of the 2013 Rolex Sydney Hobart entrant, as she entered the water for the first time.
