18ft Skiffs, Heat 2 of the 3 Buoy Challenge saw the Jono Whitty helmed LUMIX with James Hozack and Aron Everett win comfortably. Lumix led the fleet on the first beat, and by virtue of their handicap buoy being the Red, and shortest distance to sail to windward, skipped away from the fleet for an all the way victory.
John Woody Winning was always in the hunt within the chasers and did enough to take second which left third on the Podium for the Euan McNicol helmed MOJO Wines. Euan substituted yesterday for Chris Nicholson and joined Mike McKensey and Ricky Bridge onboard to produce the fasted race time of the scratch markers.
Chris Nicholson and his Mojo Wines crew are expected to be seen on the race podiums as this season unfolds especially when Gotta Luv it seven, Rag, Sydney City Marine, Thurlow Fischer Lawyers, Appliances on Line, and Smeg get all their new equipment tested and get their race faces on.......promising to be the best racing fleet for some years.
Pick the Podium tipping competition will restart in November.....stayed tuned for more announcements Jono Whitty post race with BK
