Mounts Bay Sailing Club is hosting the annual Sharpie class state championships on the 12th and 13th of February.
The iconic three man dinghy which was first sailed in the 60’s is still surviving today with nearly 30 entries into the championships coming from as far as Busselton to contest. Many past champions will be on the water as well as visiting competitors from other classes chartering boats.
The two Day format offers seven races with the lowest combined place score taking out the championship. Racing will be conducted in the waters of Matilda Bay with the city providing a beautiful back drop from 10am each day.
