BIA NSW
Have you ever dreamt about being part of a yacht crew? The Boating Industry Association in conjunction with Yachting NSW have partnered with selected clubs in Newcastle, the Central Coast and Sydney to let people try this magnificent pastime for free.

Scheduled for Sunday 12th September, Try Crewing Day, as it has been named, has been designed to allow people with an interest in sailing to see what it would be like to be a crew member on a boat. The day is free for registered participants.

The day will consist of a club briefing or a beginner’s guide to crewing, it will be followed by a tour of a boat and sail, and will conclude with a chat at the club about how you can further participate in this wonderful sport. All clubs run regular social, twilight and racing days and evenings. An important part of the Try Crewing Day is to let you know how to become a regular part of these events.

This year’s participating clubs are; RANSA at Rushcutters Bay, Royal Motor Yacht Club in Port Hacking, the Middle Harbour Yacht Club in Mosman, the Gosford Sailing Club and the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club in Wickham.

Participants must register on line in advance at www.bia.org.au and must be over 18 years of age to participate. Numbers are strictly limited. So get along and get involved in a great day!
