It's all happening! The official closing date for the Heaven Can Wait charity regatta is today, but you still have time to enter the most challenging sailing event on Lake Macquarie.

Have you got your entry in yet? If not, then do it now! Details are on our website.

As you probably know, there is a fundraising dinner on the Friday night before the race. Our guests will be:

Liesl Tesch – Paralympic Gold Medalist – London Games
Haylee Outridge – Olympic hopeful for the next Rio de Janeiro games
Nathan Outridge – Second in the Worlds Moths Championships and helmsman on the Swedish Americas cup contender – Artemis
Kyle Langford – wing trimmer on the successful Americas Cup contender – Oracle

Buy your tickets now at the bar at the Royal Motor Yacht Club - $50 / head

Family and friends will be able to board Solar Sailor for a four hour cruise involving the start, and many photo opportunities as boats start and pass the start area for a second time. The cruise will also include a multi course cocktail menu - $60/head with profits going to the Heaven Can Wait charities. Tickets for the Start boat cruise are on sale this at the RMYC Toronto.

Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta - Going down this weekend!
The Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta will be held this coming weekend – November 16 and 17. The Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta will be held this coming weekend – November 16 and 17 on beautiful Lake Macquarie, organised and run by the Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto. The regatta is traditionally preceded by a fund raising dinner at the club and this year is no exception. This year – as in the past, our guest list features an amazing line-up of sailing talent.

Heaven Can Wait fundraising approaches $30,000
Just on $30,000 has been raised by sailors and supporters participating in the 2012 Heaven Can Wait Yacht Regatta. Just on $30,000 has been raised by sailors and supporters participating in the Heaven Can Wait Yacht Regatta, held on Lake Macquarie (south of Newcastle) on September 29-30. The race, which is held to raise funds for men's cancer research and support projects, includes the challenging Heaven Can Wait 24 Hour Yacht Race, as well as a 12 Hour option and a 'One Lap Dash' around the 30 Nm course.

After three tough years in the Heaven Can Wait series, the weather gods smiled on the 2012 Heaven Can Wait race. After three tough years in the Heaven Can Wait series, the weather gods smiled on the 2012 Heaven Can Wait race. On Saturday morning just a few minutes before the 11am start, the north westerly hit the fleet; winds went from 10 knots to 25 in a flash. It was a roaring down wind start, with kites, foiling moths and sports boats dominating.

Wild times at Heaven Can Wait 2012
The seventh annual Heaven Can Wait race - The weather was wild to say the least with gusts of 35 knots reported. The seventh annual Heaven Can Wait regatta started at 11am this morning and the weather was wild to say the least, with gusts of 35 knots reported as some stages. Three races ran in conjunction, the iconic 24 Hour Race, the One Lap Dash around the full 30 Nm course, and a new 12 Hour Challenge, with participants able to compete in any or all of the three events.
