The sad loss of two RPYC Club Stalwarts - Allan Coutts and Peter Halla

by SN Walton on 29 Oct 2014
Allan Coutts Royal Perth Yacht Club .
It is with great sadness that we advise that long standing Members Allan Coutts and Peter Hallam both passed away last Friday.

Allan was a Member of the Club for 31 years. It was a rare day indeed when he and his beloved Equalizer weren't out on the River sailing on a Wednesday and Saturday. One of life's true gentlemen, Allan's desire to give back to the community saw him instrumental in RPYC hosting the annual Sailing on the Swan with Camp Quality for 18 years. His cheeky grin and sense of humour will be sadly missed.

The service to celebrate Allan's life will take place in the River Room, Royal Perth Yacht Club at 10:30am on Monday three November. Following the service, the celebration will continue on the Seafarer Balcony.

Peter was a Member of the Club for 49 years and as I'm sure you'll all remember, his smile was enough to light up the whole Wardroom - especially when he and the crew of Odette excelled out on the water. A heart of gold, Peter was always the first to put his hand up to assist the Club or help a fellow Member in need.

We will send an email to Members to advise the details of Peter's service as soon as they become available.

The Club just won't be the same with the loss of these two fine gentlemen. On behalf of the Club, we extend our sincerest condolences to Allan and Peter's families.
