Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Race - Start VIDEO

by Dale Lorimer on 10 Apr 2014 Whilst Sean Langman may have lamented the small number of entries for the inaugural event of the new chapter in the Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Race for multi-hulls and mono-hulls, the biggest no-show was the wind.

As the starting horn sounded the two official competitors drifted over the start line and out of the heads with the only record in danger of being broken would be perhaps the number of days instead of hours to complete the race.

Sean Langman's Bank of Queensland Team Australia and Shaun Carroll's Morticia trimarans 'thrilled' the spectators as they zigzagged out of the heads desperately tacking trying to find any wind.

Dale Lorimer was on North Head and captured the non-action.
