The Middle Harbour Yacht Club has already released the Notice of Race for the Sydney Harbour Regatta 2013 in March while registration is now open online.

To be held on Saturday and Sunday 9-10 March, the regatta, which brings major racing to a close for the year in NSW, attracts entries from across NSW and from interstate, bringing together club racers, state, national and world champions, along with Olympians.

This year, the regatta has attracted national and state championships. The Sydney 38 and Flying Tiger classes will all hold their national championships, while the Australian Sports Boat and Cavalier 28 classes will sail for their NSW Championship titles.

Apart from those above, other One-Design classes taking part this year are: Melges 24, Melges 32, J24, Adams 10, Dragon, Etchells, Yngling, Super 30 and Young 88 boats.

The Premier class for IRC and ORCi racers remains as popular as ever, and those boats will be back to sail on windward/leeward courses, along with Premier Ocean Passage series for IRC and ORCi. The Performance class will also sail an Ocean Passage series. All are on offshore courses, as is the Sydney 38 national championship.

On Sydney Harbour the spectacle will continue with Performance spinnaker, non-spinnaker and classic divisions bringing a mass of colour for onlookers, who will also enjoy watching the historic 18 foot skiffs, production boats and RSYS Mixed Divisions – in other words – there is a class and division to suit all on the nine course areas in the Harbour.

This ‘Must Do’ Middle Harbour Yacht Club event is held with the valuable assistance of the CYCA, MYC, NCYC, RANSA, RPAYC, RPEYC, RSYS, SASC, and SFS, whom it would not be possible to hold a regatta of this magnitude without.

The Sydney Harbour Regatta is supported by Helly Hansen, Sydney Ports, Sydney City Marine, Mariner Boating and Robert Oatley Vineyards.

Electronic entries close at 2400 hours on Friday 22 February. Early entries received by Friday 1 February, shall receive a $50.00 discount, so enter online now at the official website: Sydney Harbour Reggata 2013 Registration
