Southern Spars Director, Paul MacDonald is relocating to UK Southern Spars
Paul MacDonald, a director at Southern Spars, specialising in superyacht sales, is relocating from the company’s Auckland office to London, UK.
MacDonald is a senior member of the Southern Spars team and a veteran of the Whitbread Round the World Race, the precursor to the Volvo Ocean Race. He has been involved in the mast and rigging business for over 25 years, founding Marten Spars, before merging that business with Southern Spars team eight years ago.
By moving north, MacDonald will be closer to many of Southern Spars valued clients, improving the service that the company offers to its many European based customers. There will be a very senior member of staff on hand to meet with clients at short notice and be contactable in the same time zone.
“A big part of our markets are in Europe and the USA. I am really excited about being closer to both these places. I also will be extending some technical support and training to the rest of our sales team in the area” says MacDonald.
