Solitaire du Figaro - Jérémie Beyou claims leg 4 win

In La Solitaire du Figaro-Eric Bompard cachemire, at 11h 20m 50s (French time, 09h 20m 50s UTC) Jérémie Beyou (Maître Coq) crossed the finish of the fourth and final stage off Cherbourg-Octeville to win the leg from Les Sables d'Olonne and also secure his third overall victory over his 14 participations.

It is Beyou's seventh leg win and he wins the race overall by an accumulated margin of 17 minutes and 56 seconds over Corentin Horeau (Bretagne Credit Mutuel Performance) and 25 mins and 47 secs over Charlie Dalin (Normandy Elite Team).

Beyou finished with a flourish, after three successive third places into Plymouth, Roscoff and Les Sables d'Olonne, the 38 years old skipper not only kept his key rivals in check to the finish line, but won just 54 seconds ahead of second placed Adrien Hardy (AGIR Recouvrement) and one minute and 53 seconds ahead of third placed Corentin Douguet (Un Maillot pour La Vie).
