Following the earlier news that Singapore had qualified the nation in the Laser men's event for 2016 Rio Olympics at the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Santander, Spain, now Elizabeth Yin has successfully secured the nation another spot following the conclusion of the Finals series at the world championships.
The Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championship is the first Olympic Qualification regatta for the 2016 Rio Olympics with 50% of spots up for grabs across all ten events.
In the Laser Radial gold fleet, there were 35 nations competing for the 19 quota slots available from these first Rio 2016 qualifiers.
