Sick of the America's Cup but read every word, and watch every video

I am sick of the America's Cup but I read every word about it and watch every video

Sail-World gets more emails about how sailors are 'over' the America's Cup, but it seems the AC Soap Opera is compulsive viewing. AC Story after AC story, tops the daily and weekly viewing lists.

It seems the Emirates Team New Zealand can't help themselves when it comes to drama, now they are getting themselves offside with the Kiwi public, the NZ government and more.

And Jimmy Spithill just can't resist stirring them. Again we have the blow by blow from our America's Cup editor Richard Gladwell.

Ocean Racing Looms Again
Gone are the days of everyone having the whole weekend available to spend on just the one pastime. Sitting at Airlie watching another retired old giant of the sea take backpackers out for a jaunt into the Whitsunday Islands, I got to thinking about the boats that will soon be on their way and all the crew that is needed to undertake both delivery and racing.

They sure do need the love and if you race her hard, she will need lots of things attended to. Not all of them will be below the waterline and not every boat has a full-time Nigel and an owner who gets the yard to do the work.
