For the 2010 edition (from fourth to 7th November 2010), SIBEX will be one more time co-organized between Shenzhen Yubo Exhibition Group, Exposalons and Grand Pavois Organisation (GPO), organizer of the International In-water Boat Show the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle (France). GPO will take part as a commercial support and consultant for logistics and communications in a way to foster the International development of Shenzhen's Sibex. Further development of potential exhibitors, possibility to try the boats at sea, services for the exhibitors, operations targeted to prospect new customers.

Yubo Exhibition Group and Grand Pavois Organisation joined forces with the major references of boating to promote, enhance and develop this rendezvous towards a population in search of a new recreational hobby: boating. The goal: make 'Sibex - China (Shenzhen) International Boat Show with GPO as Strategic Partner,' a benchmark for International boat shows in China and Asia.

The goal: to increase the number of exhibitors, to have more than a hundred boats from 25 to 130 feet exhibited in-water, to optimize prospective customers, to promote the discovery of boating and to organize professional meetings to facilitate networking.

Created in 2007, the Shenzhen International Boat Show (Sibex) has rapidly developed into three editions, and became one of the important events of the Asian Boating calendar. Organized in Shenzhen (China) Marina Club, Da Mei Sha Bay, the boat fair is conveniently located near Hong Kong and has a floating exhibition, which gives it a unique character for southern China.

A hundred exhibitors representing more than 200 brands from U.S.A, France (with the support of Ubifrance), Australia, Italy, Great Britain, Hong Kong (China) and Taiwan (China) participated in the 2009 edition and fifty boats were exhibited in-water.

The exhibition surface was 10,000 m2 with an increase of 100% compared to the 2008 edition. Boats exhibited in-water were also 100% more numerous than in 2008. And in the end of this third edition, Sibex was considered as one of the essential boat show in China and in Southeast Asia.

The brands that exhibited boats afloat, among the most important worldwide were: Sunseeker, Princess, Jeanneau, Beneteau, Azimut, Lagoon, Nautitech, Sea Ray, Bayliner, Riviera, Marquis, Regal, Sunbird, Montefino, X-Yachts, Technicarbone, Adagio… As well as the Chinese brands, Heysea, Sea Stella, Poly, Sunbird…

On the quayside, many brands attended Sibex such as Smooth Marine, Poralu, Speedo Marine, Rotoplus, Rotomod, Leopard Catamarans, Cubisystem, Windward Islands, Sunsail, Wauquiez, a pavilion Charente-Maritime (France) with Nautitech & Cim, Fountaine Pajot, Dufour Yachts as well a booth Région Normandie and many Chinese brands and retail dealers like Haishang Yuntian Yachts, Kingbay Yacht, Jianglong Shipbuilding, Guangzhou Nilesk, Oudi Yachts, Tricon Marine, Itama, Aicon, Regal Boats...

Figures: 90.2% of exhibitors stated that the Shenzhen's Sibex has specific assets compared to other boat shows in China and 84.9% were satisfied with the quality of visitors. 80.6% want to participate again in 2010.

15, 000 visitors have walked along the aisles of Sibex 2009 including 6000 potential local buyers and 1,500 coming from abroad. 67% of visitors came from the Pearl River Delta (ed., this area gathers Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Foshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing, Hong Kong and Macau, with 60 million citizens in 2008), 23 % were coming from other provinces of China and 10% from abroad. The Sibex 2009 has also welcomed delegations from Finland, Australia, Hong Kong and Macau. Finally, the total transaction is estimated - within four days - to 250 million RMB (25 million Euros) and the provisional is estimated to 500 million RMB (50 million Euros).

On the side of press, fifty media have been accredited at the show with leading Chinese media: CCTV, Shenzhen TV, Guangdong TV, Shenzhen Business Channel, Shenzhen Mobile Channel, Shenzhen Traffic Channel, Shenzhen News Channel, www.sznews.com , www.soufun.com , www.sohu.com, www.ifeng.com, www.cnboat.com, www.yachtonline.com.cn , www.szonline.net , Southern Metropolis Daily, South Daily, China Yachting, China Ship News, Shenzhen Special zone Daily, Shenzhen Business, Shenzhen Evening News, Hong Kong Ta Kun Pao, Hong Kong Commercial Daily, Wen Wei Daily, Yangcheng Evening News, Prodiver, Sea Angling China, Luxuries, Yacht, Nautica, Yachstyle.

Numerous activities were also proposed with debates about boating, an awards ceremony rewarding International and Chinese marine professionals “Night of navigation celebrity banquet” and “Golden Sail award ceremony”.
