Sail-World new format - Mac users - please read this!!

by Sail-World on 29 Dec 2014
Sail-World.com, the worlds most largest and most read sailing news website Sail-World.com http://www.sail-world.com
Sail-World is now running live in the changed website format. If you are running on a Mac with iOS please scroll to the bottom of the site and check that your region is set for your region and not some other. It can be correctly set up using the drop down boxes. Then go to the top, click refresh, and you should be away.

The cog wheel in the top right hand corner will give you the option to change the format in which you view Sail-World.

There are three formats available, the default is the 'old site' layout, but you can opt to see Feature stories separate from regular sailing news. If you don't want to change formats then choose the middle of the three format options, and 'Sky' as the background.

A third format is the Mobile format which shows advertising and stories in a horizontal format. On mobile phones this is the only format available - it has been designed specifically for mobile phones.

You can also change the background colour in which you wish to view Sail-World - with five options available (click the most left hand box and the options will drop down).

The changes have been made to enable you to customise your viewing experience and to make Sail-World more flexible with the array of web-capable devices available.

The geo-location issue should be working correctly for Windows users, however testing has shown there is still an issue for iOS users on all Apple devices which will be resolved in the near future.

Please give any feedback in the normal way through the form at the bottom of the site 'Feedback/Contact Us' option.

Enjoy!
