Woranart Wongvanich, new Marina Manager at Royal Phuket Marina Royal Phuket Marina
Royal Phuket Marina has confirmed the appointment of Thai national Mrs. Woranart Wongvanich as Marina Manager. A Suratthani native, Mrs. Woranart Wongvanich has worked in Thailand's marine industry for over 20 years, more than 10 of those at Royal Phuket Marina where she has worked her way through the ranks to be recently appointed Marina Manager.

“Joining Royal Phuket Marina at the beginning, I have enjoyed being part of the development team and have seen the marina and facilities grow. I admire the vision of the Chairman, Mr. Lalvani, who is always looking to develop the company and marine tourism in Phuket, and am very proud of his confidence in appointing me as the Marina Manager,” said Mrs. Woranart.

Being the only Thai female Marina Manager in Thailand and one of just a few Thai nationals who have held the post, Mrs. Woranart acknowledges the importance of team work.

“The most enjoyable part of my work at Royal Phuket Marina is the marina team. They are passionate and professional. I am proud to be a part of this team and together we strive to deliver the best service possible to our customers,” added Mrs. Woranart.

Prior to embarking on a career in the marine industry, Mrs. Woranart worked in the travel industry and made a name for herself in companies such as Diethelm Events (Phuket), Tropic Asia Tours, The Travel Company, Fast Boats, Asia Voyages and The Pansea resort.

Mrs. Woranart brings this hospitality and tourism experience to bear in her new managerial position and is confident in the future potential of Phuket and Thailand's marine leisure tourism potential.

“It's encouraging that central Government sees the importance of marine tourism for Thailand. Here at Royal Phuket Marina we look forward to working closely with Government Officials in all departments to promote and develop the industry further.”
