Want to find out how RYA eBooks make an invaluable teaching aid for instructors? Thinking about taking an online training course but want to know more? Or do you simply want to find more about the latest technology the RYA uses to improve training courses, knowledge distribution and its publications, then pop along to the RYA Stand (JO66) on Monday 15 September for ‘Digital Day’.

From eBooks, eLearning programmes and ePacks to digital Training Almanacs, the new online chart plotter and SafeTrx app, RYA experts will be on hand throughout the day to talk about all things digital, answer your questions and chat about your ideas for future digital developments.

'Digital Day is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase all the digital technology the RYA utilises; be it for training purposes, in our publications or assisting boaters out on the water.

'Whether you’re an instructor, student, racer or cruiser we are inviting everyone to pop along to the stand on Digital Day to see how the RYA is using technology to support you and the boating you do', comment Craig Burton, RYA Training Resources Manager.

RYA Instructor Jon Mendez, Mendez Marine commented on how RYA eBooks assist him as an instructor out on the water: 'The video content and animations available in RYA eBooks enables me as an instructor to show students exactly what I’m talking about in a really clear way, and get them to focus on a teaching point.

'It really is a case of a picture paints a thousand words, resulting in me talking less, students driving the boat more; learning is up and students are happier. It’s brilliant.'

As well as ‘Digital Day’ the RYA Publications team will also be launching a brand new title at the show; ‘RYA Advanced Powerboat Handbook’.

Join us on the RYA Stand (JO66) at 15.00 on Saturday 13 September for a glass of fizz as we hear from the book’s author, Paul Glatzel about what goes in to writing a book like this and what readers can expect when they purchase a copy. Paul will also be around to answer your questions and sign your copy of the new title.

Anyone who purchases a copy of the ‘RYA Advanced Powerboat Handbook’ (either at the show or via the RYA web shop) will also be automatically entered in to a free prize draw to win an RYA Advanced Powerboat Course, courtesy of Paul Glatzel’s RYA Training Centre, Powerboat Training UK.

Throughout the show RYA members can also take advantage of a special members only 20% discount across all RYA Publications. Either make your purchase at the show or collect your discount code from the RYA Stand to make your purchase online or to download any of the RYA eBook titles.
