O'pen Bic WOC, Day 1 - Wind and waves greeted Team Australia

The first day of competition at the O'pen Bic WOC started with the U16 Fleet hitting the water first for three races then followed in the afternoon with the U13 and U19 fleets. Greeting the competitors was 15-20knts from the NE and a sea of up to 2m.
The O'pen bic fleets revelled in the condition with the big seas saw these nimble little craft surfing down the faces of rolling Baltic sea.
The course run for all fleets was the triangle return course ,with the downwind finishes adding excitement right to the end.
Team Australia had great results over the fleets.
U16 after three races;Kristen Wadley sixth and second Female; George Morton 13th
U13 after two races Jack Challands first; Travis Wadley 10th
Day two is expected to throw the same conditions as today.
