OK. Time for the dinghies to hit the water

Photographer Alex McKinnon hit the waters of Port Phillip to get out with the OK Dinghies for their 2014 World Championships. After being blown out for two days, Melbourne's Port Phiilip then asked everyone to hang around for quite some time to ensure that 4 knots from nearly everywhere could indeed build to 20 knots from the Sou'west. The sun came to play, as well. Cool, huh?!

Some super-keen sailors got away early, but the RO, Mark Taylor, was not buying it until around 1600hrs, when the holes filled in and it went from Swiss to Cheddar, even aged.... Argh. Argh. Argh. Sun, wind and water - let's go racing!!!
