New NEEL 65 heralds world’s largest ever production cruising trimaran

NEEL Trimarans is set to unveil the remarkable NEEL 65, the world’s largest ever production-built cruising trimaran. The incredible six-cabin multihull is the flagship model of the French-based NEEL Trimarans range, which also features the multi award-winning NEEL 45.

The NEEL 65 supercedes the NEEL 60 trimaran, building on the acclaimed attributes of its predecessor to deliver a multihull that redefines international standards of comfort, offshore performance and innovation.

The unique design features an astonishing 110m2 (1,200 square feet) of living space with two of its six double cabins on the same level as the designer saloon and beautiful open-plan galley. The innovative layout provides unprecedented privacy and serenity for all guests with an additional two cabins located in the central hull plus one cabin in each of the floats. The NEEL 65 has six bathrooms on board for optimal convenience.

The layout is eminently practical for life on board, with an abundance of storage areas for long term cruising. The spacious interior, six cabins, and numerous areas for relaxation make the trimaran also ideal for charter operations.

On deck, the expansive cockpit measures an impressive 25m2 and incorporates an alfresco kitchen that is equipped to cater for large scale entertaining. Ample storage bins for concealing recreational sporting equipment are situated in the skirts of the floats to facilitate easy access to the water, and the dinghy garage is conveniently positioned in the central hull.

The flybridge encompasses a massive 21m2 that is perfect for unwinding and enjoying the sea views while at anchor or underway, and it features a double helm, large dining table for eight guests, and convertible sun loungers for relaxing after a decadent lunch.

The NEEL 65 will have its world premiere at the two - fifteen Cannes Yachting Festival from 8-13 September, and this first model will then be sailed to the Caribbean where it commence crewed charter operation.

NEEL Trimarans has enjoyed rapid success worldwide with its innovative designs and Multihull Solutions has now sold a number of NEEL 45s into the Asia Pacific region.

In 2013, the NEEL 45 was awarded ‘Boat of the Year’ by Cruising World magazine as well as the ‘Most Innovative Boat of the Year’ by SAIL magazine.

Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said he expected the NEEL 65 would also be received well by Australian, New Zealand and southeast Asian boat buyers.

“The new 65 possesses all the hallmarks of the NEEL range including impressive width that delivers optimal stability, a PVC foam sandwich construction, and anti-collision partitions which make the trimarans unsinkable,” Mark said.

“The revolutionary fin system provides excellent protection for the hulls, rudder and propeller, while the main fin two lateral fins allow the trimarans to explore or take refuge in very shallow bays that are inaccessible to other vessels, or even sail directly onto a ramp or a beach,” he said.

Further information about the NEEL 65 can be obtained by contacting Multihull Solutions on 1300 855 338 (within Australia) or 0508 MULTIS (within New Zealand), +66 8 1894 1530 (within Asia), emailing info@multihullsolutions.com.au or visiting website.
