Multihull Solutions sets new records at Gold Coast Boat Show events

by Kate Elkington on 28 May 2015 Multihull Solutions has enjoyed a spectacular boat show on the Gold Coast setting new sales records for new and pre-owned multihulls at two simultaneous events.

The company had displays at both the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the Gold Coast Marine Expo and finished the weekend with deposits worth more than AUD$10 million taken on a variety of multihulls.

Over the two shows, the company signed orders for seven new sail and power multihulls. The sailing catamarans ordered include the new TAG 50, Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 and others across the company’s represented range. Multihull Solutions also took orders for a host of power catamarans by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts including the Summerland 40s and Cumberland 47 Long Range.

Multihull Solutions also expects to confirm orders on additional boats this week including another Privilege 60, a TAG 50, Fountaine Pajot Lipari 41, Summerland 40, and a Cumberland 47 Long Range.

Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said the company was thrilled with their success at the shows.

“It was certainly a challenge to showcase 24 multihulls over two events at the one time,” Mark said.

“We had more than 20 team members greeting visitors and dealing with four very busy days of interest in our new and pre-owned power and sail range,” he said.

“However, we are extremely pleased to have secured the resulting orders and now look forward to returning to the office to respond to the huge amount of enquiries we received throughout the two shows.”

“We had a huge amount of qualified buyers to our stand at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, which is a testament to the increasing popularity of multihulls as well as the enduring quality of this industry event,” Mark said.

“The Sanctuary Cove Boat Show continues to impress us with its consistent professionalism, attention to detail, and consideration of every exhibitor and visitor,” he said.

Multihull Solutions also participated in the inaugural Super 60s display at the Gold Coast Marine Expo, which displayed an extensive range of sail and power catamarans ranging from 50-60 feet in size.

“This was an interesting exercise and it was great to see the diverse range of multihulls in this market segment all in one place,” Mark said.

The Super 60s was staged at The Boat Works in Coomera, adjacent to Multihull Solutions’ Out-of-Water Boat Show, with visitors inspecting the huge range of brokerage boats that the company has on permanent display.

Multihull Solutions also sold several pre-owned catamarans during the Gold Coast Marine Expo.
