The Melges 32 Audi-Tron Sailing Series will conclude this weekend in Genoa, Italy, October 3-5. For the very first time ever, a very special 'Melges Team Racing' formula will involve all three Melges sportboats - the Audi Melges 20, Melges 24 and Melges 32.

Many aspects of this weekend's event will decide the crown of the season's winner. The Melges Team Racing phenomena will serve as the centerpiece of the Genoa Boat Show. During the event, visitors will enjoy the parade of boats as well as video playback of the past events at the Audi hospitality tent. Furthermore, a crew dinner at the Genoa Aquarium is planned with a very special guided tour and final prize giving to take place at the 'Teatro del Mare'.

Genoa marks the last event, one that follows Porto Ercole, Talamone and Riva Del Garda totalling 31 races sailed to date. This year's winners already include Andrea Ferrari's Spirit of Nerina, Richard Gorannson's Inga From Sweden and Roberto Tomasini Grinover's Robertissima.

The overall Series is commanded by Valentin Zavadnikov's Synergy GT with a sizable lead. In second is Mauro Mocchegiani at the helm of Giacomel Audi E-Tron, followed by Edoardo Lupi's Torpyone.

As in the past, the Audi Tron Sailing Series means the return of the Audi test drives too. Anyone can can experience the latest flagship models from the automotive brand Ingolstadt.

Organized by BPSE together with Melges Europe, the Audi-Tron Sailing Series confirms that Audi is aimed to make regattas more environmentally conscious. In this effort, Audi has provided all competing Melges boats with electric outboards making the 2014 Sailing Series the first ever 100% environmentally friendly circuit.

The Audi Tron Sailing Series has reconfirmed its innovative style with a brand new mobile app - now available on Google Play and iTunes Apple Store for free.
