John Bacon’s 'Roger That 'Team helmed by Cameron Miles have taken out the Mid-Winter One Design Regatta.

With a near faultless score card the guys lapped up the shifty WSW 15 knot conditions in their local waters of Pittwater. Other big movers today where Ayden Menzies ever improving team on 'The Kracken'.Recently back from Port Lincoln Melges 24 Sth Australian State Championships over 5000Km round trip . Showing that time in the boat and good completion pays off.

Stuart Muirhead sailing 'Amigo’s enjoyed the close quarters racing, saying after racing: 'Our up wind speed was exceptional although it was the opposite at times down wind'. Which is quiet normal for the guys new to the class?

Jonno Bannister 'Jester 4'who also made the trip to Port Lincoln and now to Pittwater from Melbourne has newly join the class after the recent Australian Melges 24 World Championships.

Jonno and Ayden both took advantage of the 'Fully Tuned' boats being offed For Sale by the Overseas teams leaving there boats here to sell after the tittle.

With only one of these overseas Melges 24’s (USA 795 = fourth in the last worlds) now being available through Melges Asia Pacific for sale by US Sailor - Chris Larsen.

With the next Melges 24 Class Regatta being the East Coast Championships be in November closely followed by the NSW States at LMYC, the friendly active growing fleet look forward to a great year ahead.

Thanks to the RPAYC for their efforts in running a great regatta
