London Olympics 2012 Sailing competition, Weymouth - RS:X class.

Dorian Van Rijsselberge (NED) is the one that took centre stage in Men's RS:X as he took two race wins in the first day of windsurfing at the London 2012 Olympics.

The Dutchman blew the field away in both races to come out of the traps flying. In Race 1 he finished 42 seconds ahead of Przemyslaw Miarczynski (POL) and in Race 2 the difference was more than one minute. On his day Van Rijsselberge said, 'It was just solid racing and I can't complain. It doesn't really matter how far you're in front. A bullet's a bullet, and a no bullet is a no bullet.'

Whilst the Dutchman was consistent with his bullets, so was Miarczynski and Toni Wilhelm (GER) who finished second twice and third twice.

'I did two seconds so to me it was a very good beginning of the event,' said Miarczynski. 'I'm very happy. It's not so easy with Dorian as he won two races and was really fast. I think two seconds is very good especially in the second race when I had a really good start and I had to recover.'

Nick Dempsey (GBR) sits fourth overall after a fifth and a seventh whilst Tae Hoon Lee (KOR) rounds off the top five of the Men's RS:X

The Men's RS:X resume racing tomorrow at 12:00 local time on the Nothe course.
