Lincoln Crowne and Company (LCC) is very proud to announce its sponsorship of the 12ft Skiff Association's NSW State Championships due to be held in November or December of 2011. Executive Chairman of LCC, Nicholas Assef, has a great interest in Skiff sailing and was eager to forge new sponsorships for the 2011/12 season.

Commencing in 2011, Lincoln Crowne and Company has engaged with the highly professional and successful 16ft Skiff 'LCC' sailing out of Manly, skippered by Gerard Smith. The crew has been busy working on rig and sail designs as soon as the sponsorship was announced. The crew has also received their new carbon spinnaker pole from New Zealand in their move to carbon in the 2011-12 season, and are looking to have the skiff ready in July to commence their pre-season training.

LCC has also sponsored the 12ft Skiff 'Lincoln Crowne' sailing out of Woollahra for the past three seasons. The team has been together for a number of years enjoying multiple successes including winning the Australian National Championships three times and the NSW State Championships five times. 'Lincoln Crowne' is an extremely competitive skiff with a highly talented and driven crew skippered by Jonathan Temple. They are currently looking at ways in which to improve their performance, working on the masts as well as experimenting with the rigging to reduce sailing weight.

Nicholas Assef is very proud of the relationship that has been forged with the 12ft Skiff Association and now the 16ft Association and is looking forward to seeing some outstanding results in the coming season, especially at the inaugural 12ft State Championships.
