Lead Sailing Instructor wanted Canberra Yacht Club. Job Description as follows:

Job Title: Lead Sailing Instructor
Reporting to: Sailing School Manager & CEO
Salary: Competitive rate, dependent on applicant.
Start/End date (Flexible): 1st October 2015 - 22nd April 2016 (Full Time Work)

Job Summary:
The Canberra Yacht Club has a position vacant for a Lead Instructor for the 2015/16 Summer season. In this position you will be the lead instructor of our many different programs, including primary and senior school groups, tackers programs, adult learn to sail, coaching the youth sailing academy and instructing in our popular holiday programs.

In addition to these duties you will assist the Sailing School Manager in the day to day running of the school, including instructor development, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, general yacht club assistance and boat maintenance duties.


Experience & Qualifications:
RYA/YA or equivalent Dinghy Instructor
Powerboat handling or PB2 equivalent.
Current First Aid
Experience teaching large groups of various ages and abilities.
A racing background
Experience coaching learn to race and advanced racing groups (Direct Optimist or Laser coaching preferable)
Race management experience would also be looked on favorably.
Ability to meet local police check / working with vulnerable people requirements.
