Le catamaran à foils 'l'Hydroptère.ch'a battu le 20 août le record lémanique du Ruban Bleu qui récompense le meilleur temps réalisé par un voilier sur le parcours Genève (Port Noir)-Le Bouveret-Genève. Avec un temps de 4 heures 45 minutes et 11 secondes, le prototype mené par Daniel Schmäh a amélioré de huit minutes 9 secondes le temps établi en 2007 par Philippe Cardis sur le Décision 35 'Julius Baer'. Le record a été homologué par le Cercle de la Voile de la Société Nautique de Genève et devient ainsi le nouveau temps de référence.

Après de nombreuses tentatives infructueuses depuis trois ans, l'équipage de l'Hydroptère.ch a ainsi enfin accroché le dernier des records lémaniques qui manquait à son palmarès. L'Hydroptère.ch détient en effet déjà le Record de l'Heure et celui du Kilomètre.

Avec le Ruban Violet, qui est l'équivalent du Ruban Bleu pour les monocoques, ces records font partie des 'SYZ & CO Leman Sailing Speed Records' organisés par le Cercle de la Voile de la Société Nautique de Genève. Dotés de prix attrayants récompensant les records absolus, mais également les meilleures tentatives de chaque saison, les 'SYZ & CO Leman Sailing Speed Records' visent à encourager la recherche de performance à la voile sur le Lac Léman.

La tentative réussie s'est effectuée par une bise modérée qui s'est heureusement maintenue dans le Haut-Lac, ce qui est assez rare et explique que le Ruban Bleu soit particulièrement difficile à battre, car il exige des conditions météo particulières. Le parcours ne s'est toutefois pas effectué sans heurts, car l'un des safrans du bateau s'est cassé sur le chemin du retour. L'équipage était composé de Daniel Schmäh (Skipper), d'Antoine Anceau, d'Yves Courvoisier, de Stéphane Dyen et de Guillaume Coyon.

Une fois de plus, c’est la conjonction parfaite de multiples petits détails qui a permis de faire la différence. Le Ruban Bleu a de tout temps été un défi majeur pour les navigateurs lémaniques et la performance remarquable de ce jeune équipage talentueux le confirme. Les tentatives peuvent avoir lieu pendant toute la saison d'été et il est ainsi encore possible d'inscrire de nouveaux temps sur les 4 records jusqu'au 26 octobre 2013» a précisé Rodolphe Gautier, Membre du Comité CVSNG et Responsable des 'SYZ & CO Leman Sailing Speed Records'.
