Sailpass Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 3 Guy Nowell
The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 2013 fleet took part in a beautifully orchestrated sail pass before the start of the fourth day of racing. Royal Thai Navy yachts lead the procession of Regatta boats as they sailed past large Navy ships. Sailors and Royal Thai Navy personnel saluted an image of His Majesty the King of Thailand on the glorious occasion of his 86th birthday. There was a gun salute as thousands of international and Thai sailors, media and members of the public gathered to watch the beautiful scenes and see the procession.

The fleet of the 2013 Phuket King’s Cup Regatta comprises one of the largest gatherings of keelboats in the competition’s history; 106 racing keelboats, in addition to dinghies and windsurfs which make up the remainder of this impressively large fleet of craft.
