Join us on Boating Safety Day on 28 September

Boating Safety Day is a free community event for the whole family. Join us across NSW on Sunday 28 September, between 10am and 2pm, enjoy a range of marine activities and learn about safe and responsible boating.

Hosted by Roads and Maritime Services, this year’s Boating Safety Day events will be located at:

Pelican Foreshore Reserve, Lakeview Parade, Pelican
Evans Head Boat Ramp, Bundjalung Road, Evans Head
Rowland Reserve, Pittwater Road, Bayview
Hanging Rock Reserve, Hanging Rock Place, Batemans Bay
Mulwala Water Ski Club, Melbourne Road, Mulwala

Activities on offer include:

Interactive lifejacket demonstrations
Essential boating safety equipment talks
Free marine activities
Flare demonstrations (not available at all locations)
Safe Boating Competition with prizes
Giveaways
Sausage sizzle.

Make sure you stop in at the Roads and Maritime stand where Boating Education Officers and Boating Safety Officers will be on hand to provide important lifejacket information, advice on safe boating practices and information on boat licences, registrations and NSW boating regulations.
