The inaugural Australian 4x4 and Marine Expo will roar into life tomorrow at the iconic Manly Boat Harbour with thousands of outdoor, 4wd and marine enthusiasts expected to attend the event this weekend (March 6-8).

To ensure easy access for consumers, a range of transport options have been confirmed. Trains from Central Station to Manly Train Station will run every 10-15 minutes during peak time and every 20-30 minutes during off peak. Manly Train Station is within walking distance of the event site.

Patrons wishing to drive to the event are encouraged to park their car at 880 Manly Road, Wakerley and board the Park N Ride Shuttle Buses. The shuttle busses will operate on Saturday seventh and Sunday 8th March (8.30am to 5.30pm).

There will also be smaller shuttle buses picking up at designated council bus stops along Royal Esplanade between Lota and Wynnum giving people the option to park close by and catch the marked shuttle buses to the show entry.

Event Ambassador and Entertainment Coordinator Simon Christie said getting there were plenty of public transport and parking options for visitors to the event.



'Manly Boat Harbour is an easy drive from the Gateway Arterial and offers free local street parking as well as designated remote parking locations supported and free and regular shuttle buses,' said Christie.

'These options ensure that those who would like to drive, have numerous (free on Manly Rd and a gold coin donation at 880 Manly Rd (Park and Ride location) parking options for convenient access.

'Extensive public transport, a proximal railway station and a coordinated public bus service will efficiently bring any non-driving visitors swiftly to the venue. Local visitors and those parking along the Manly Esplanade will also have the option of a free shuttle bus running in regular shifts,' Christie continued.

The Australian 4x4 and Marine Expo is Brisbane's first, on water, Marine and 4x4 exhibition. The event includes an on water demonstrations area and marina for test rides as well as a purpose built Adventure Track, that will host racing, demonstrations, entertainment and for the first time, test drives.



The inaugural event, which encompasses the proven Explore Australia Expo and Queensland favourite, Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show, offers consumers a spy, try and buy experience, all in the one place.

Visitors to the Australian 4x4 and Marine Expo will have the chance to win a 4x4 and marine package valued at $10,000 thanks to Narva and Boating and RV. All ticket purchasers will receive an entry form for the competition, which can be lodged in the entry boxes located at the Narva or Boating and RV stands at the show.

Plus, everyone who purchases tickets online here) will go into the draw to win a Maritimo Experience courtesy of Get Into Boating , valued at $6,090 .00. The unique experience is for five people and includes a cruise on the Gold Coast Broadwater on board a luxury 58' Maritimo Boat to Couran Cove, overnight accommodation and dinner at Couran Cove’s 'The Restaurant'.

The Australian 4x4 and Marine Expo is supported by key community groups within both the marine (Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club) and 4wd (FWD Queensland) sectors as well as the Brisbane City Council, Transport & Main Roads and the Manly Village Chamber of Commerce.
