Recent changes to the Sydney 38 class rules have been made to include a jib top and asymmetrical spinnaker for races over 20 nautical miles in length.
With this pending change in mind, Hood Australia has spent many hours designing, and on water testing new designs for these sails, resulting in a jib top with plenty of grunt and an asymmetrical spinnaker maximized in area to the class rule which has plenty of wind range and easy to trim.
With the 2002 - 2003 Summer racing season now complete it is timely to congratulate Nigel Holman and his crew on his Sydney 38 Cuckoos Nest for their efforts during the year.
Their achievments include
CYCA Long ocean pointscore 1st IMS Overall
CYCA Long ocean pointscore 3rd IRC Overall
MHYC Gillawa Shield Lops 1st Overall
1st IMS Overall, 1st IMS Div A 2nd Div IRC
Sydney 38 Absolute Cup 1st Overall
