Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta - Going down this weekend!

by Mel Steiner on 11 Nov 2013
2013 Heaven can wait charity sailing regatta at Lake Macquarie RMYC Toronto
The Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta will be held this coming weekend – November 16 and 17 on beautiful Lake Macquarie, organised and run by the Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto. The regatta is traditionally preceded by a fund raising dinner at the club and this year is no exception. This year – as in the past, our guest list features an amazing line-up of sailing talent.

Alongside double Paralympic gold medallist, Liesl Tesch and aspiring Olympian Haylee Outteridge, we have now confirmed attendance from Kyle Langford and Nathan Outteridge.

Kyle was thrust into the limelight to become the wing trimmer on Oracle Team USA's successful defence of the America's Cup. At just 24 years old, he has a long sailing career ahead of him.

Nathan has just finished second at the Moth world championships in Hawaii. Nathan spent the last year as helmsman for Artemis, the Swedish America's Cup team.

Come hear these great sailing ambassadors talk about their recent experiences and plans for the future. They will be interviewed by Mark Rothfield - Communications Manager for the Hunter Medical Research Institute and well known ex Journalist and Boating Columnist for the Newcastle Herald.

Tickets for the dinner are available at the Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto at $50/head (Ph 02 4959 2051). A two course meal is included in the ticket price.
