Gold Coast International Marine Expo announce new partnership

by Emma Milne on 6 Mar 2015
Two of the city's major events have joined forces to spread the message that there will be four fantastic days of fun on the Gold Coast from 21-24 May 2015 Emma Milne
Two of the city’s major events have joined forces to spread the message that there will be four fantastic days of fun on the Gold Coast from 21-24 May 2015.

An exciting new partnership between Gold Coast International Marine Expo and Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival will encourage visitors to book their stays and enhance the experience while they are here.

Expo Event and Marketing Manager Emma Milne said working alongside the professional team at Broadbeach Alliance, which organises the hugely successful music festival, benefits, both the individual events and the wider Gold Coast economy.

'Both events will be held 21-24 May so we will be working closely together to leverage marketing opportunities and inform a massive collective audience that there are two compelling reasons to visit the Gold Coast in May,' said Ms Milne.

'The partnership really is about working for the greater good of the Gold Coast and its visitors.'

Ms Milne said more than 125,000 people flock to the bustling Broadbeach precinct for the award-winning, four-day annual music festival which features some of the biggest blues bands in Australia, and overseas.

'Like Expo, Broadbeach Alliance has just a small yet extremely dedicated team and we look forward to working with them to reach out to the world and let people know that the Gold Coast, over four fantastic days, will host the best blues music festival in Australia as well as the boat show with so much more.

'Ideally, we would like people to come and experience our massive showcase of all things aquatic and then head into Broadbeach to enjoy to-quality, free musical entertainment and a vast array of dining options.

'What a great reason to visit the Gold Coast from 21-24 May.'

This year the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival features world-renowned performers including Andrew Strong from The Commitments, James Morrison, the Black Sorrows, Jimmy The Saint and The Sinners, as well as local favourites like Mason Rack Band … to name just a few.

The musical entertainment during the Expo will also feature a distinctly blues genre to give visitors a taste of what is on offer in Broadbeach.

'This is a great joint-marketing initiative with the visitor experience forefront of mind and we thank the Broadbeach Alliance team for their guidance and assistance.

'It truly is amazing what can be achieved when we work together.'
