Video from Emirates Team NZ as the Extreme Sailing Series gets underway in Muscat, Oman

First day on the water was practice race day in Oman. It was light and there were big holes dotted across the course. All a good time to iron things out and get the boat up to speed for racing to start tomorrow.

America's Cup: Spanish rockstars join French team
49er Olympic Gold Medalists and 2024 SailGP champions will join the French America's Cup team. 2024 Olympic Gold Medalists in the 49er class, and 2025 SailGP champions, Diego Botín and Florian Trittel (ESP), have suspended their 2028 Olympic program, and will sail with the French team K-Challenge for the 2027 America's Cup in Naples.

In October 2025, off the coast of Cagliari, they captured the one title that had eluded them in the 49er class: the world championship gold medal.
